Norma Jean Suite at The Lexington Hotel

The Norma Jeane Suite

Experience Hollywood Glam in Our Updated Norma Jeane Hotel Suite

Spread Out in A Midtown Suite Inspired by Its Most Famous Resident

Once the Midtown Manhatten residence of Marilyn Monroe and famed Yankess slugger Joe DiMaggio, our newly renovated Norma Jeane Suite has been updated to channel an atmosphere that the couple would have called home. Interior design firm Fringe selected luxe velvet furnishings, silk textiles, mixed metals, and mirrored surfaces to contrast deep, low seating for comfortable lounging in the 600-square-foot-space.

A color palette of black, white and blush was chosen to complement pops of red, symbolis of Marilyn's favorite lip color, and an Art Deco aesthetic provides a nod to Hollywood Glam. Thoughtful details include a Louisville Slugger baseball bat, propped in the couple's umbrella stand, bags from Bloomingdale's in the walk-in closet, and monogrammed Dorothy Draper cocktail glasses and a vintage champagne bucket of Dom Perignon in the bar, amongst other special hints depicting Monroe and DiMaggio's residence in the New York City hotel suite.

On the terrace of the Norma Jeane suite, the designer sevoked the spirit of the 50's with the addition of vintage-style Acapulco lounge chairs, a Brutalist-inspired brass sculpture, and black & white incorporated in the Capiz shell table tops and brass daybed we envision Maryilyn lounging on.

Other key pieces include an alabaster shagreen writing desk by Bernhardt, which is styled to look like a vanity with a rose in a repurposed Chanel No. 5 bottle. The suite also feature s atufted grey velvet Mitchel Gold and Bob Williams sofa with nailhead trim and ivory feather cushions, and a bespoke headboard the designers commissioned in white vegan leather with black velvet trim.
